Eli Lilly launched Cialis about five years after the FDA approved Viagra for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. But recently, it has been seen that sales of Viagra has slipped 9% to $499 millions in 2010 as compared to the sales of Cialis, which increased by 6% to $465.9 millions. Eli Lilly is also prepared for the generic competition, but is confident that the performance of Cialis will outdo the effects of generics.
